Miami Ohio remains #1 this week after this past weekend's series against Ferris State. On Friday Miami and Ferris State tied 2-2 and tied again on Saturday 1-1. Top ranked Miami Ohio will go on the road this weekend to take on Western Michigan who is 5-4-1 on the season. North Dakota remains the second ranked team in the nation this week despite splitting their series this past weekend at home against St. Cloud State. The Sioux beat the Huskies 4-2 on Friday. But Saturday was a whole different story. The Huskies jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period. They added another goal to go up 3-0 in the second. The Sioux cut the lead to 3-1 at the end of two periods. The Sioux would cut the lead to 3-2 late in the third but couldn't score any more goals as the final was 3-2 St. Cloud State. The Huskies were led by backup goaltender Dan Dunn's 46 save performance. The loss snapped a 17 game home unbeaten streak for North Dakota. Next up for the Sioux is #3 Denver this weekend on the road. Denver moved up a spot in the polls to #3 this week after having last weekend off. The Pioneers will take on the #2 North Dakota Fighting Sioux this weekend at home. Massachusetts-Lowell moved up a spot to #4 this week after a sweep of Alabama-Huntsville on the road this past weekend. Lowell beat Huntsville on Friday by a score of 3-1 and again on Saturday by a score of 4-0. Massachusetts-Lowell will take on Merrimack this weekend at home in a one game series. Merrimack enters the weekend with a record of 6-4-0. Cornell dropped 2 spots this week after losing to Yale 4-2 on the road on Friday. Cornell rebounded with a 6-0 shutout of Brown on the road on Saturday. Cornell will take on #19 Princeton and #13 Quinnipiac this weekend at home. Michigan State moved up 7 spots this week after a huge sweep of then #6 Michigan this past weekend. Michigan State beat the Wolverines on Friday by a score of 3-2 just sneaking by Michigan. The Spartans completed the sweep of Michigan at home blanking the Wolverines 2-0. #6 Michigan State will take on Notre Dame this weekend at home. While the Michigan Wolverines will take on Bowling Green this weekend at home. Colorado College moved up 3 spots to #7 this week. On Friday the Tigers took on upset minded Minnesota State at home and came away with a 1-0 win in OT. On Saturday the Tigers played another tough game against Minnesota State but came away a winner 3-2. Colorado College will take on Robert Morris this weekend at home. Robert Morris enters the weekend with a record of 5-6-1. Bemidji State dropped one spot to #8 after splitting their series against Minnesota. On Friday the Beavers lost to the Gophers 4-1. The Beavers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when the Gophers turned the puck over in their own zone on a line change and Jordan George capitalized giving BSU a 1-0 lead. After that the Gophers turned things around scoring 4 unanswered goals. On Saturday the Beavers led the Gophers 3-1 entering the third period and it seemed that the Gophers were still in this one. But in a span of 1:26 the Beavers scored 3 goals to go up 6-1. The gophers would add a goal and the final 6-2. The Beavers will take on Alabama-Huntsville this weekend at home. Yale moved up 3 spots after beating Cornell 4-2 on Friday. On Saturday Yale tied Colgate 3-3. Yale will take on Massachusetts at home this weekend and also take on Brown on the road. Alaska-Fairbanks moved down one spot this week after splitting their series against Bowling Green on the road. On Friday Alaska-Fairbanks lost to Bowling Green 3-1. On Saturday Fairbanks rebounded with a 5-3 win over Bowling Green. #10 Alaska-Fairbanks will go on the road this weekend to take on Lake Superior State. Massachusetts moved up 3 spots this week after splitting their series this past weekend at home against New Hampshire. On Friday the Minutemen beat New Hampshire 4-3 in OT. The Minutemen looked for the sweep on Saturday but couldn't get the sweep after losing to New Hampshire 4-2. #11 Massachusetts will go on the road this weekend to take on Yale in a one game series. Nebraska-Omaha dropped a spot in this week's polls. Nebraska-Omaha shutout Lake Superior State 4-0 on Friday. On Saturday Lake Superior State avoided the sweep beating Omaha 3-1. Up next for Nebraska-Omaha is Northern Michigan this weekend on the road. Northern Michigan enters this weekend's series with a record of 3-5-2. Quinnipiac jumped up 7 spots in this week's polls after beating Harvard 5-1 on Friday and beating Dartmouth 4-2 on Saturday. Quinnipiac will go on the road this weekend to take on Colgate on Friday and take on Cornell on Saturday. Colgate enters the week with a record of 6-3-4. Notre Dame dropped six spots this week after losing to Northern Michigan 3-2 on Friday and tied Northern Michigan 2-2 on Saturday. Notre Dame will go on the road to take on Michigan State on Friday and will take on Michigan State on Saturday at a neutral site. Wisconsin is ranked #15 and back into the polls this week after sweeping Alaska-Anchorage at home this weekend. On Friday the Badgers beat Anchorage 5-1 and won again on Saturday by a score of 6-2. The Badgers will take on St. Cloud State this weekend on the road. St. Cloud State enters the week with a record of 4-4-2. #17 Vermont dropped 2 spots this week after getting destroyed by #18 Boston College on Friday by a score of 7-1. Vermont rebounded on Saturday beating the Eagles 3-2. Vermont is off this weekend. Boston College will go on the road this weekend to take on Maine. Maine enters the week with a record of 4-6-0. #19 Princeton didn't move up or down any spots this week after beating Dartmouth 2-1 in OT on Friday at home. On Saturday Princeton earned a 3-3 tie with Harvard at home. Princeton will take on Cornell and Colgate this weekend on the road. #20 Minnesota-Duluth dropped 2 spots this week after splitting their weekend series at home against Michigan Tech. On Friday Michigan Tech upset the Bulldogs 3-2. Thanks in part to a Eli Vlaisavljevich goal with 5:53 to go in the game. It was his second goal of the season. On Saturday Minnesota-Duluth got their revenge on Michigan Tech with an 8-1 win over the Huskies on Saturday. #20 Minnesota-Duluth will take on Minnesota this weekend on the road. true

On Friday Miami beat Michigan 3-1. And beat the Wolverines handily on Saturday 5-1 despite falling behind 1-0 early. The sweep by Miami was the first at Michigan's Yost Arena since 2001 against Northern Michigan. Up next for the top ranked Redhawks is unranked Ferris State this weekend at home. While #6  Michigan will take on #13 Michigan State in a home and home series this weekend. #2 North Dakota had no problem with Michigan Tech this weekend on the road. They beat the Huskies on Friday 4-2. And on Saturday they completed the sweep of Tech with a 4-1 win. The Fighting Sioux will take on St. Cloud State this weekend at home. #3 Cornell had a good weekend beating Dartmouth easily on Friday 5-1. On Saturday the Big Red took on Harvard and beat them 6-3. The Big Red will take on Yale and Brown in a pair of road games this weekend. #4 Denver had a tough road series this past weekend when they traveled to Anchorage to take on Alaska-Anchorage. The Pioneers escaped Friday's game barely with a win 3-2. Saturday was a whole different story for Denver though. The Pioneers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first but Alaska tied it and after the first the score was 1-1. Denver took the lead back in the second on a Rhett Rakhshani power play goal and lead 2-1. But after that the Seawolves didn't look back they scored three goals in the second and after two they lead 4-2. The third period brought more of the same when the seawolves added two more goals before the Pioneers scored again. At that point it was 6-3 but a late Alaska goal made it 7-3 and that was the final. The Pioneers will get a much needed off week this weekend. #5 Massachusetts-Lowell earned a 3-3 tie on the road Friday against Vermont. On Saturday the River Hawks beat New Hampshire 6-3 at home. Massachusetts-Lowell will take on Alabama-Huntsville on the road this weekend. As for Vermont they took on Providence on Saturday and shutout the Friars 3-0. Vermont will take on the sixteenth ranked Boston College Eagles this weekend on the road. #7 Bemidji State remained undefeated this past weekend when they beat Robert Morris 2-0 on Friday and beat Robert Morris again on Saturday 6-1. The seventh ranked Beavers will go on the road this weekend to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a Saturday-Sunday series this weekend. #8 Notre Dame snuck past #9 Alaska-Fairbanks team on Friday with a 3-2 win. On Saturday Alaska-Fairbanks beat the Fighting Irish 3-1. The eighth ranked Irish will take on Northern Michigan at home this weekend. While #9 Alaska-Fairbanks will go on the road for the first time this year when they take on Bowling Green. #10 Colorado College blew a 3-2 lead in the third period on Friday against #18 Minnesota-Duluth. The Bulldogs of Duluth tied the game with 9:51 to go in the third period. And with 4:52 left the Bulldogs scored the winning goal. The final on Friday was 4-3 Minnesota-Duluth. On Saturday the Tigers avenged a 4-3 loss on Friday with a 6-2 win over Duluth. The tenth ranked tigers will go on the road this weekend to take on Minnesota State. While the eighteenth ranked bulldogs will take on Michigan Tech at home. #11 Nebraska-Omaha was shutout by #13 Michigan State 3-0 on Friday. And Omaha would skate to a 3-3 tie on Saturday and the Spartans. #11 Nebraska-Omaha will take on Lake Superior State at home this weekend. While the up and rising thirteenth ranked Spartans will take on the sixth ranked Michigan Wolverines in a home and home series this weekend. #12 Yale lost to Rensselaer on Friday losing to the Red Hawks 5-2 on the road. On Saturday Yale almost lost to Union at home. But thanks to a late goal by Sean Backman with six seconds left in the third period Yale earned a 3-3 tie against Union. Yale will take on Cornell and Colgate this weekend in a pair of home games. #14 Massachusetts took on Niagara this weekend in a home and home series. On Friday the Minutemen beat Niagara 4-1 at home. On Saturday the Minutemen completed the weekend sweep of Niagara with a 4-2 win on the road. The fourteenth ranked Minutemen will take on New Hampshire this weekend at home. #16 Boston College blew a 4-1 lead on Friday on the road against New Hampshire to earn a 4-4 tie against New Hampshire. The Eagles followed Friday's disappointing tie with a 5-1 crushing of Northeastern. The sixteenth ranked eagles will take on #15 Vermont this weekend at home. #17 Boston University had a tough weekend against unranked opponents. On Friday the defending National Champs lost a tough one against Northeastern on the road a 1-0 final. On Sunday the Terriers took on Maine on the road and lost to the black bears 3-2. The seventeenth ranked Terriers will take on unranked Merrimack this weekend in a home and home series. #19 Princeton lost to St. Lawrence 5-2 at home on Friday. On Saturday Princeton rebounded with a 4-1 win over Clarkson at home. Nineteenth ranked Princeton will take on Dartmouth and Harvard this weekend in a pair of home games. #20 Quinnipiac beat Clarkson 4-2 at home on Friday. And followed that win with another win on Saturday this game a 5-2 win over St. Lawrence. #20 Quinnipiac will take on Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend in a pair of home games. As for Wisconsin who dropped out of the top 20 this week. The Badgers beat Minnesota 4-2 on Friday night. But Saturday was a whole different story for the Badgers who dominated the Gophers in scoring chances and shots on goal. The Badgers outshot the Gophers 47-28 but still lost 5-2 to the Gophers thanks to a career high 45 saves by Minnesota goalie Alex Kangas. true
