NFL Week 11 Underdogs

Making money with NFL betting means sometimes risking money on teams who appear to be “down on their luck” and the odds are stacked against them. This week in the NFL, Week 11, it looks like there will be at least six home underdogs, potentially seven, depending what number your online sportsbook puts up for San Diego at Denver…so there are plenty of opportunities to be a “dog” bettor this Sunday.

While overall, the numbers when betting home dogs this year show a subpar 20-24 ATS (against the spread) record, stats from the past seven weeks alone can be looked at in a different light. In Week 7, road favorites went 7-0 straight up and ATS, but from Week’s 4 through 10 (not including the seven wins from Week 7), road favorites were just 11-11 straight-up, covering the spread only seven out of 22 times.

So betting the home dog in that span produced a 15-7 ATS record (68.2-percent), but why is it still so hard to pull the trigger on a pup, even with home field advantage?

First of all, when a team is getting points at home it often means they are either A) Facing a far superior opponent or B) A bad team.

For these bad teams, playing at home can actually be a worse experience than playing in front of opposing crowds, as fans have become disgusted after a few months worth of terrible performances and can be unruly in their treatment of the home side.

Look at last week’s Monday Nighter between the Ravens and Browns. The only thing that quieted the disgruntled Cleveland fans was that fact the majority were heading for the doors early in the fourth quarter.

Things haven’t gotten quite that bad yet for the Week 11 home dogs, so let’s look over the matchups and see if there is any value.

Home dogs for Week 11

**All lines are courtesy online sportsbook SPORTSBETTING.com

Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs +10: Star Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu missed four games earlier this year with a knee injury and the defense was not the same without him. It is all but certain he will miss this date. The Chiefs, despite their record, are actually starting to play better on both sides of the ball.

Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens
Ravens +1: The Indianapolis Colts may be unstoppable at home but on the road they are only 8-1 since Oct. 2008 (smile)…tough spot for this home dog…let’s move on.

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Bucs
Bucs +11: Before QB Josh Freeman took over the Bucs were averaging just 13.7 points per game. Since his arrival, they're putting up 30.5 ppg. New Orleans is also 0-2 ATS the past two weeks and add in the look-ahead factor (the Saints play New England in Week 12), and the Bucs could be a "live" dog this week.

Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams
Rams +9: St. Louis hung in against the Saints and seem to be learning Coach Steve Spagnuolo’s new program. Winning this division game vs. Arizona would be a massive step in the rebuilding process.

Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders:
Raiders +9.5: Loyal Oakland fans won’t bail out on their team (as tough as things are) and with QB Bruce Gradkowski starting the team is optimistic. Raiders are 2-1 ATS at home in past three non-divisional contests.

Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears
Bears +3: The Bears will need a magical home field advantage through the next six weeks to salvage this season. But for bettors, this line might continue to move up, giving some value playing on the home dog.

Good luck betting the games.

You can check all the current NFL Live Odds

Check out SPORTSBETTING.com for their 110% sign-up bonus.

	Dear Kerry Rhodes,

Congratulations to you and the New York Jets on beating the Patriots in week 2. You and your team were extremely vocal during week two and I was just curious if you, or your team, have any further thoughts heading into this week's game with New England Patriots? Last time your team faced the Patriots your friendly coach believed that your team was the better team heading into that game. Does Coach Ryan still feel this way? Because as I look at your teams accomplishments, or lack of, they don't quite meet the Patriots accomplishments since week 2. The Jets' have only two wins: beating a terrible Tennessee Titans and a pitiful Oakland Raiders. And have five losses: the Saints, TWICE to the Dolphins, Bills -which were coming of a 3-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns, and last week to the Jaguars. And if I recall right, you promise to "embarrass" the Patriots last game. Unfortunately for you the only one who was embarrassed was your rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez who in the first-half went 3-5 for 15 yards and a fumble, that's pretty embarrassing.

But I will however give you your props where your props are due. You were also quoted saying, "we will hit [Tom Brady] more than six times, I promise you that." Which to your credit you backed up by hitting Brady an astonishing: "7 times" - with 0 sacks. And you yourself had a lights-out performance with an astounding "6 tackles," way to make your presence felt.

I have a prediction of my own for this week’s game if I may. Not only do I believe you and the rest of the Jets' are going to experience a heated New England Patriots - after having a win taken from them due to poor officiating, but you and the Jets’ are lucky enough to travel to New England and face a team that is erupting on all cylinders, and is arguably the hottest team in the NFL right now. OH, and you get to face Wes Welker for the first time this year. The Patriots are going to deliver to you and the Jets' a beating so "embarrassing" that the NFL will be forced to televise the remainder of the Jets games on LIFETIME. When Brady and Belichick are through having their way with you guys come this Sunday, Coach Ryan will be kissing more than Belichick's rings. That’s my promise.

Yours truly,

#1 Jets Fan

In a different time, Tom Cable would have been a perfect fit for the Oakland Raiders. Heck, maybe he's the perfect fit for a once proud franchise. The allegations of Cable's abuse both at work and at home, if true are disturbing and criminal. I'm just wondering... Where is the NFL? Doesn't it's personal conduct policy apply to all employees? Including coaches? At the very least, their lack of action or investigation and action into Cable is a p-r blunder; at worst it's sets a double standard between players and coaches. I don't always agree with USA Today's Christine Brennan's but in this case she's right on.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnist/brennan/2009-11-04-tom-cable_N.htm

Spikes Nails It

I've said before that the Florida Gators football program remind me of a little bit of the Duke University basketball program of the early 90's. Both are/were extremely succesful, and both are/were the most polarizing figures of their respective sports. Linebacker Brandon Spikes attempt to go all Three Stooges on Georgia's Washaun Ealey didn't win them any fans. Urban Meyer's punishment didn't either. Meyer decided to sit Spikes for a half Saturday against Vanderbilt. Spikes decided to make it the entire game. The linebacker's actions Saturday were disgusting, but his actions Wednesday evening were honorable. Meyer should have known better, and made the suspension longer. Coach's teach their players throughout the year, this time it was Meyer that was taught a lesson.

1. New England Patriots A- 5-2 10-6 - 12-4

The Patriots are good no question about it unless Brady gets injured again but they will be fine.

2.Miami Dolphins B- 3-4 7-9 - 10-6

The Dolphins will probably do alright for the rest of the year the Wildcat is still working.

3.Buffalo Bills C+ 3-5 5-11 - 9-7

Dick Jauron is easily one of the worst coaches in the league, any other coach you might see this team be much better. The offensive line is pretty bad although Eric Wood, Andy Levitre, and Demitrius Bell have some potential. You would think that T.O. , Lee Evans, Fred Jackson, and Marshawn Lynch that the Bills would have a great offense, unfortunately Dick Jauron is sleeping on the sidelines. Jairus Byrd should be the rookie of the year, he is the next Ed Reed/Darren Sharper (hopefully).

4. New York Jets C+ 4-4 6-10 - 8-8

The Jets to me are a huge question mark. They usually have a pretty good D but Mark Sanchez is playing like a rookie lately. I thought after the first 3 weeks that tehy would be great. I'll go back to my original prediction that they will finish in the cellar.

AFC North

1.Pittsburgh Steelers A 5-2 11-5 - 14-2

The Steelers could very well find themselves in the Super Bowl agin this year. Rashard Mendenhall is showing why he was a 1st round pick last year.

2. Baltimore Ravens B+ 4-3 9-7- 11-5

Joe Flacco and Ray Rice are playing very good this year and their defense is still an elite unit but the Bengals could very easily give them a run for their money.

3. Cincinnati Bengals B 5-2 8-8 - 11-5

Carson Palmer is definitely back 100% , the defense is getting better, Cedric Benson is finally living up to his potential, but in the long run the Ravens and Steelers are simply better teams.

4. Cleveland Browns D- 1-7 1-15- 4-12

The Browns could be the worst team in football. The main reason is that they have no QB. Brady Quinn should be starting even though he's not much better than Derek Anderson.

AFC South

1. Indianapolis Colts A+ 7-0 12-4 - 14-2

The Colts could very well be the best team in the NFL. Peyton Manning is having a great season (even for him) and their defense looks very good.

2. Houston Texans B 5-3 8-8 - 11-5

The Texans are a very good team, they have an excellent QB in Matt Schaub and probably the 2nd best WR with Andre Johnson. Steve Slaton needs to hang on to the football, Ryan Moats ran all over the Bills on sunday but Slaton is too valuable a weapon to keep on the bench, and he's killing my fantasy team...

3. Jacksonville Jaguars C- 3-4 5-11 - 8-8

Mo Jo Drew is one of the best RB's in the league but even he can't carry a team by himself. I think the Jags have found someone special in Mike Sims-Walker.

4. Tennesee Titans D+ 1-6 4-12 - 7-9

The Titans are not the team from a year ago. Their pass defense is horrific Corland Finnegan is good but he hasn't been healthy lately and Nick Harper is just old. Kerry Collins is not a player I'd want at QB (even with the Bills QB situation). Vince Young is far from polished but he is a much better option for now and the future.

AFC West

1. Denver Broncos B+ 6-1 9-7 - 12-4

If you would've told me at the beginning of the season Josh McDaniels would have a winning record after trading Jay Cutler, I would have said that you're a complete idiot. Suprise, suprise.

2. San Diego Chargers B- 4-3 7-9 -10-6

Sadly L.T. is done, he will never be the same. The Chargers might still contend but every year people say this is the Chargers year. Their window of time is closing.

3. Oakland Raiders D 2-6 3-13 - 5-11

Jamarcus Russell is still young but man is he bad. There's no way the Raiders will do anything this year no way.

4. Kansas City Cheifs D- 1-6 2-14 - 4-12

HMM....where should I start? I would right now hate to be a fan of the Cheifs....

Look for my NFC MIdseason Analysis later this week. Thanks for reading.

Horrendous, terrible, awful, bad, and horrible. The list is endless, yet every word can be associated with Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell.

When typing in the word atrocious into a thesaurus website, the synonyms above were connected to this damaging word. Sunday’s story against the Jets could be told with just those six words and readers would know who to associate those words with.

Against the Jets, Russell committed three turnovers in three straight series that led to the Jets scoring on all of them. By the time he was benched for Bruce Gradkowski -- this being the first time in his football career that he’s ever been benched—Russell’s passer rating was a dismal 31.1.

By no means does the Raiders schedule improve at all. Out of the next nine teams they face, Russell has a chance at redeeming himself and giving his team a chance against three of them: Chiefs, Redskins, and Browns. Maybe by the time the Browns game comes around Russell will have learned to hold on to the ball for a whole game and maybe he’ll decide to stop throwing punts.

Through 7 weeks here is how I rank the NFL teams:

1) The Cream Of The Crop:

New Orleans Saints

Indianapolis Colts

Denver Broncos

Minnesota Vikings (although it pains me to say that)

2) Legitimate Threats:

New England Patriots

New York Giants

Pittsburgh Steelers

3) Still Not Sure....

Arizona Cardinals

Atlanta Falcons

Dallas Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles

Cincinnati Bengals

New York Jets

Green Bay Packers

Chicago Bears

San Francisco 49ers

Houston Texans

San Diego Chargers

Baltimore Ravens

4) Not That Good, But Respectable:

Jacksonville Jaguars

Seattle Seahawks

Miami Dolphins

Buffalo Bills

5) Bottom Of the Barrel

Carolina Panthers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

St. Louis Rams

Detroit Lions

Cleveland Browns

Kansas City Chiefs

Oakland Raiders

Tennessee Titans

6) Disgrace of the League

Washington Redskins (only for what the heck is going on with thier front office/coach)

What do the Bottom tier teams have in common? Bad Coaching, Bad Front Office or Both. The Skins are a disgrace. Jeff Fisher has lost his team. Everyone knows Al Davis is actually the grim reaper. Todd Haley has nothing to work with. Ditto for Mangini (although he blew in New York). The Lions are still trying to recover from the Millen Era. Raheem Morris is probably in over his head. The Rams have been terrible since the jettisoned Warner for Bulger. Why does the NFL repeat it's own mistakes year after year? Incompetent coaching, coupled with an incompetent front office can lead to disaster. Put both together (as in KC's case) and you have a team that is dysfunctional and faces blackouts. Those teams in that third tier are dangerously close to falling int the bottom half of the league, or with a few good moves are legit. Atlanta is my top choice to make the next step. Love the Cards, Ravens and Jets as well. The teams most likely to fall? Houston, because they can't stop any body, Dallas because Wade Phillips is only the coach because I think the NFL wont let Jerry Jones do it, and my beloved Packers. Mike McCarthy is a horrible coach. Ted Thompson, while having done an admirable job with the draft for the most part, refuses to sign veterans, and has some nasty picks (Justin Harrell for one) against him. That team is dangerously close to being back to 4 and 12, and if the O line doesnt do a better job against the rush, Rodgers wont get off the turf, and this season will be lost.

When Will The NFL Learn?

Looking back on the reign of Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy, I see a lot of disappointments. I am not talking about Brett Favre, because lets be honest, it was a move for the future. But I am talking about the mediocrity that faces the Packers right now.

The key to winning any football game is the line of scrimage. The Packers are terrible on both sides of the ball. Clearly thier o-line stinks. The d-line is not much better. I have listened to Milwaukee sports radio the last few days, and there are still the Rodgers hater/ Favre lovers who think it is Aaron Rodgers fault for the recent failures. But when you lose the battle at the line, there are not much hope for success. I think if you put Rodgers behind the Vikings o-line, they are just as good if not better.

All of this is a result of poor drafting and failure to retain or go after talent in the free agent market. That falls squarely on Teddy T. The lack of discipline (penalties come to mind) and poor evaluation of talent on the field falls on Mike McCarthy. When you have two massive failures like this, losing is the only option.

One missed point by all of this is the terrible special teams play of the Packers. Back to back weeks, terrible kick off coverage has put the Defense in terrible position. Not to mention Johnny Jolly's headbutt which gave the Vikings 4 more downs to hit pay dirt (and completely changed the game), you end up having a two game losing streak.

I never liked Mike McCarthy. I thought his hiring was terrible, and that the 13-3 year was a fluke. I did believe in Ted Thompson, especially after his success in Seattle. Now, I think the only hope is to can them both and move on. The names Holmgren, Dungy and Cowher are out there. What about Mariucci, who had nothing but losing hands when he coached in San Francisco and Detroit.

As a Packer fan, I guessed anywhere from 6-10 to 10-6 this year. Right now, if I could have 7-9, I would take it.

1. New Orleans Saints (6-0) LW: 1 A big win over Miami after trailing 24-3. Drew Brees had some interceptions but in the 2nd half he looked strong, and the running game stepped it up and got them the win. Yeah the Wildcat struck the Saints defense but overall New Orleans is a great team.

2. Indianapolis Colts (6-0) LW: 2 Ok they played the Rams, but Peyton had an excellent day and the Colts can still beat good teams. The defense only allowed 6 points against a St. Louis team that has Steven Jackson who rushed for over a 100 yards, Sunday, The Colts stay at #2.

3. Denver Broncos (6-0) LW: 4 Denver has a bye but they have a tough match up against Baltimore (3-3) who have had a very tough schedule. Knowshon Moreno and Kyle Orton have played well and the defense has played very very well

4. Minnesota Vikings (6-1) LW: 3 The Vikings stay in the Top 5 even with their first loss. They played a tough Steeler D and made some costly mistakes but I think they are still a Top 5 team.

5. New England Patriots (4-2) LW: 6 The Pats enter the top 5 due to their bye week and the Giants loss. Tom Brady seems like himself and the D is young but they have played good. With Sammy Morris out the running game is off but they should still be fine.

6. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) LW: 10 They did defeat Minnesota who was undefeated until then. The D played well and Rashard Mendenhall seems like a good RB Big Ben seems like an elite QB, and Pitt is almost a Top 5 team.

7. New York Giants (5-2) LW: 5 They lost to the Cardinals. And seem to have lost confidence in themselves. Eli had a terrible day Sunday Night against Arizona. The D did play well but not enough for them to lose and drop out of the Top 5.

8. Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) LW: 9 After crushing Chicago 45-10 they rise in the Power Rankings. Cedric Benson and Carson Palmer seem to be the Franchise for the Bengals, and they should have a good playoff run.

9. Atlanta Falcons (4-2) LW: 8 A big loss to a over rated Dallas team……oops I mean a Dallas team that is actually good. Matt Ryan was forced into 3 turnovers but they are still a Top 10 team.

10. Arizona Cardinals (4-2) LW: 15 A giant win over the Giants. The D played better than what they thought they could and they now enter the Top 10. 1

1. Green Bay Packers (4-2) LW: 12

12. Baltimore Ravens (3-3) LW: 11

13. Dallas Cowboys (4-2) LW: 16 1

4. Chicago Bears (4-2) LW: 8

15. Phili Eagles (4-2) LW: 13

16. San Diego Chargers (3-3) LW: 17

17. New York Jets (4-2) LW: 14

18. Miami Dolphins (2-4) LW: 18

19. Houston Texans (3-3) LW: 19

20. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3) LW: 22

21. San Fran 49ers (3-3) LW: 20

22. Buffalo Bills (2-4) LW: 24

23. Seattle Seahawks (2-4) LW: 21

24. Carolina Panthers (2-4) LW: 23

25. Detroit Lions (1-5) LW: 26

26. Oakland Raiders (2-5) LW: 25

27. KC Chiefs (1-6) LW: 27

28. Clevland Browns: (1-6) LW: 28

29. Washington Redskins (2-5) LW: 30

30. Tennessee Titans (0-6) LW: 29

31. St. Louis Rams (0-7) LW: 31

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-7) LW: 32

Last year if you asked this question, the answer was hands down the Detroit Lions after 7 weeks.

This year, it's a LOT more complicated.

Let's take a look at 5 teams that could easily be picked for the worst team in the NFL, with the final analysis at the end.

Team #1: The Cleveland Browns (1-6)

If not for the Bills special teams being more irrelevant then Derek Anderson as an NFL QB (in this game: 2/17, 24 yards, 1 INT and a passer rating of 15.1) the Browns would be among the ranks of the winless. Where do you start with this team? The defense can't stop anyone. The offense can't pass the ball. The lack of talent overall on this team is sijmply stunning. The Browns 6 losses have come by an average of 18 points. Cleveland is 31st in total offense and passing yards and have only scored 72 points in 7 games. Cleveland is also dead last in total defense, giving up almost 300 more yards then 31st.

On the other hand: The Browns have 4 winnable games in the 2nd half of the season (Detroit, Oakland, KC, Jacksonville). They have shown life in games against Cincy and Pittsburgh. And really, can it get much worse?

Team #2: The St. Louis Rams (0-7)

Much like the Browns, St. Louis had two games where they were at least competitive (against Washington and Jacksonville). Much like the Browns, they are very young and lacking serious talent on both sides of the ball. Unlike the Browns, I don't think this is a coaching staff/ownership issue. It was a total rebirth of a franchise that was a SB caliber team earlier in the decade.

The numbers are not much better for the Rams. St. Louis is at least 18th in total offense, but hasn't turn yards into scoring, with a league low 60 points in 7 games including 2 shutouts. Unfortunately that offense can't make up for the 31st ranked defense.

The good: The first win could come this week against Detroit. Um, they'll have a high draft pick in 2010?

Team #3: The Tennessee Titans (0-6)

Talk about falling hard.

This time last year, Tennessee was being hailed as the team to beat in the AFC.

In Week 17, they beat the Steelers and Keith Bullock decided to stomp on a Terrible Towel. And since then?

They are 0-7, including that meltdown against the Ravens in last year's playoffs.

Even Jeff Fisher knows the better team when he sees on, donning a Colts jersey as a "joke".

If Mike Tomline donned a Ravens jersey, he'd be run out of Pittsburgh with torches, pitchforks and tire irons.

Unlike some of the other teams that will be on this list, there IS serious talent on this roster. Who knows though, maybe they weren't expecting everyone's best shot. That 59-0 pasting by the Patriots was one of the biggest beatdowns in years.

If there's one thing all these teams on this list have in common, it's poor QB play. Kerry Collins has been largely ineffective. But what do you do? Put Vince Young in, and watch JaMarcus Russell version 2.0?

Tennessee's offense is also mired in the bottom of the NFL (24th), largely by the anchor that is their passing game. They also have only scored 14 points a game. That won't cut it. They are 26th in total defense, but giving up a whopping 33 points per game.

The good: This team is the most underachieving in the NFL this season, no question. They are not Detroit Lions bad. With Jacksonville, St Louis, Miami and Seattle still on the schedule, pencil them in for 4-5 wins. But still, big changes should be coming.

Team #4: The Oakland Raiders (2-5)

The Black Hole. What an appropriate way to describe the Oakland Raiders franchise, minus the 2 year blip earlier this decade. Their defense? Not so bad? Their offense? Those players wouldn't scare USC, let alone the NFL. JaMarcus Russell has enough fail for 5 Ryan Leaf's and Andre Ware's put together. Just like many of these teams the past 20 years, there are lots of pieces and no cohesion. But where Al Davis has failed the most is the QB position. Outside of retread Rich Gannon, he's never found an answer here. And he KEPT Gannon from coming into the facility. So what does that tell you?

It's pretty hard to win when you are only passing for 128 yards a game as the Raiders are, or when your QB has a rating of 47.2 (even worse...2 TD's, 8 INT's and EIGHTEEN SACKS!). But at least they have a good secondary!

The good: Well they DO have two wins. But seeing as the only easy games remaining is Cleveland and Washington, they will be lucky to get 2 more.

Team #5: The Detroit Lions (1-5)

You knew I had to bring them into this discussion right?

Have they been more competitive? Yes. Did they actually win a game? Yes, against Washington, but then again, EVERYONE is beating them. They've stayed with most teams in the first half, only to see teams pull away in the 2nd. With Stafford hurt, they are equally in trouble at QB as other teams on this list, as the last time Daunte Culpepper was relevant was, oh I don't know, 2001? The Lions have also had injuries at RB and WR and well, that defense still isn't very good.

But they are showing some signs of life. And that's more than you can say for the team that simply laid down and took it like a mean girl last year.

The good: Well, they won't go 0-16. In fact, they might win THREE games if they can beat St. Louis and Cleveland. However, they close @ Baltimore, Arizona, @ San Francisco, Chicago. That's going to be a rough way to end the season.

And the verdict is...

It's tempting to go with Detroit again. But they are in rebuilding mode. It's equally tempting to choose St. Louis. But that roster's 2 years away from competiting. You could choose Tennessee, but they've got the Terrible Towel curse to blame.

In the end, I can't decide between Cleveland, who hasn't been relevant since reentering the league (and they've had what, 10 years now to build a winning organization!) and Oakland, who keeps partying like it's 25 years ago.

But would you look at that! They play EACH OTHER in Week 16.

So they'll be no need for a UFC Cage match. We can just see the worst two QB's in recent memory stink it up on the field.

Unless the NFL just does the merciful thing and calls this game a tie before it's played. Because haven't Browns and Raiders fans suffered enough?

After coming off a bad loss against Buffalo last week and heading out towards the west coast, to play a team that not only beat the Philadelphia Eagles, but has given the Jets problems over the years in Oakland, the Jets win over the Raiders yesterday was what the doctor order.

The Oakland Raiders are a bad football team and I was glad to see the Jets dominate the game from beginning to end, not giving hope to a Raiders team that not only won last week but beat one of the "contenders" of the NFC. Their first defensive play from scrimmage resulted in a sack and a force fumble that led to a 7 nothing lead and the Jets controlling the football game for the rest of the afternoon. On the offensive side of the ball, the Jets kept Sanchez from doing too much and for the second week in a row established their run game and unlike last week decided to stick to it. Thanks to the hard running of Shonn Greene and Thomas Jones, Mark Sanchez looked more comfortable than he did last Sunday and the result was a beautiful TD pass to David Clowny and a 5 yard TD run. As I mentioned above, Shonn Greene had a good day running the football as a substitute to Leon Washington, and scored his first two career touchdowns and rushing for 144 yards. Thomas Jones also rushed for a touch down and 120 yards. Overall, the Jets had another 300 yard rushing game and the easy victory.

Now to the negative. Leon Washington broke his leg and is out of the year. This is the type of injury that football players dread and the reason why they demand to get paid. Leon Washington was demanding a new contract for this very reason and now he has suffered a devestating injury that could impact his future with the Jets and in the league. For the Jets, this means that they have lost their best player on offense. Washington is one of those players that makes things happen. The last two seasons, Leon Washington was this team's MVP, returning kickoffs for TD's making big plays happen out of the back field etc. Now the Jets offense and special teams will miss his presence.

Next for the Jets is a rematch of the Monday Night loss to that hated Maimi Dolphins team that blew a 21 point lead yesterday. I fear the Jets will have a tough time stopping the wild cat again but they should score enough points offensively to render the wildcat useless. The Dolphins defense is truly pathetic and Mark Sanchez had a good game against them, I think he will duplicate his performance and Thomas Jones will continue to run the football effectively. But it will be harder without Leon Washington.

Its rediculous that a coach gets away with assault n battery while breaking a coaches jaw through the Napa County, all because he is a coach on a NFL league but if a avarage joe does the same thing its asault n battery and we are in jail for the nice long hall... Its a shame that the sports players think there above the law and now the coaches do. Well this is a discrace and a slap in the face in my eyes to everyone that a coach or a player can get away with watever they want they seem to think. Really. i dont think so, Michael Vick did his time for his crime and i have nothing against him after he did all his jail time. Plexico Buriess are surving his sentences for breaking the law in a night club. but why does breaking someones jaw not go unpunished for a coach? its not like the team can do any worse with out him they probably do a lil better but with Jamarcous Russel back there theres no way in hell there going to do better then mabey 3-4 wins this year, if they get more then Raider fans better thank god.... The Raiders are pathetic, they couldnt beat a high school team it looks like and its a shame of all there number 1 Draft picks Darren Mcfadden is the best one of them and the rest are duds.

New Orleans Saints (5-0) (Last Week's Ranking-1) We don't want to say we told you so, but hey we told you so! We took alot of heat for having them ranked #1 since the start but last week's big win over the NYG proves they belong at the top.

Indianapolis Colts (5-0) (LW-2) Coming off a bye and now playing the Rams? Wow we think they are going to stay towards the top of the rankings for atleast another week.

Denver Broncos (6-0) (LW-5) Jumped up 2 spots this week, due to there big win in San Diego to take a strangle hold lead on the division! We don't think they will collapse and lose it to the Chargers this year.

Minnesota Vikings (6-0) (LW-4) Keeping them at #4 this week, but they have a great chance to move up if they take care of business in Pittsburgh.

New York Giants (5-1) (LW-3) Due to the rest of the top 10 losing, the Giants did not fall as far as they could have. Losing like they did in the "Big Easy" either smacked their defense in the face or showed us who they really are. We will see this week vs Cardinals.

Atlanta Falcons (4-1) (LW-9) A big win on SNF against a possible team that maybe in the wildcard hunt, and another big game this week at Dallas who also can be considered a wild card contender.

New England Patriots (4-2) (LW-11) Well last week we told you that Belichek would take his frustrations out on the Titans, but even we didn't see 59-0 coming. They play Tampa Bay this week, we are SURE there wont be any snow, but we aren't sure if they'll drop 60 or not!

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) (LW-10) Okay the Steel Curtain just beat the Lions and the Browns in consecutive weeks to get to their 4-2 record, this week is the first true test for them since losing to Cincy when they host the Vikings.

Chicago Bears (3-2) (LW-8) Tough loss at the Falcons on SNF, now they have a battle at Cincy this week. And if you are on Twitter you can see Ocho Cinco and Cutler had a few words back and forth but all in good fun, should be a good game.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-2) (LW-6) We had them ranked 6th last week, and obviously we thought they were better than they really are. Losing to the Raiders? Come on! We don't even get to see them bounce back with a true test this week either at the Skins on MNF.

Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) (LW-7) The loss at home to the Texans really has to hurt, because its loss #2 at home and when you are in the AFC North, you can't really have losses like that if you want to win the division.

San Francisco 49ers (3-2) (LW-14) Coming off a bye week, its time to see if the Niners can bounce back on the road against the inconsistent Texans. To win this game the Niners secondary (Clements) needs to do a much better job (A.Johnson).

Green Bay Packers (4-2) (LW-15) Well good medicine this year for most NFL teams are matchups against the bottom of the league. And after shutting out the Lions the Pack now goes to Cleveland to see if they can take advantage of them as well.

Dallas Cowboys (3-2) (LW-17) Coming off the bye week, the Cowboys have a tough matchup in "JerryLand" against the HOT Atlanta Falcons, will be a tough test to see if Dallas belongs in the playoff hunt.

Arizona Cardinals (3-2) (LW-18) Well we think that the Cardinals may be back, after totally destroying the Seahawks on the road last week. But we get to see if the Super Bowl Cardinals are back if they can beat the Giants on the road on SNF.

Baltimore Ravens (3-3) (LW-12) The Ravens were once 3-0 but that seems like a long time ago after losing 3 consecutive heart breakers. They were a last second field goal away from possibly being ranked 9th. Now a much needed bye week.

Houston Texans (3-3) (LW-20) Well one of if not the most inconsistent teams in the NFL has won another big game but now has a must win against the Niners if they want to be a legit playoff contender.

Miami Dolphins (2-3) (LW-19) The "Wildcat" is for real, well atleast it is in Miami. They seem to be the only team to successfully run it, and with Chad Henne having the arm that he does, makes this team dangerous.

New York Jets (3-3) (LW-13) Almost a can't lose this week against the Raiders due to 3 consecutive losses. And the last 2 being against division rivals. Rex Ryan really has to get this team on the right track and fast.

San Diego Chargers (3-3) (LW-16) A few more head scratchers during Monday night's game against the Broncos for Norv Turner. We just can't seem to trust him in a big spot and its starting to look like the team doesn't either.

Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3) (LW-22) The Jags have moved up 1 spot and are now at .500 but its because they had to beat the lowly Rams in overtime at home. This team is going to have to prove alot more to us, to really move up the rankings.

Carolina Panthers (2-3) (LW-23) The Panthers have won 2 in a row after their bye week. They have a shot to get back to .500 this week when hosting the Bills. John Fox seems to have got this team on the right track.

Buffalo Bills (2-4) (LW-28) Well just when we thought it was over for Dick Jauron and the Bills this year, they go into the Meadowlands and beat the Jets in overtime. We think that this week's loser of Bills at Panthers will be out of the playoff race for good.

Seattle Seahawks (2-4) (LW-21) Getting rocked at home to the division rival Cardinals makes us think that Seattle showed us who they really are. Now a much needed bye.

Oakland Raiders (2-4) (LW-30) You may say, "Why the big jump in the rankings?" but when it comes down to it, when the Raiders defense decides to play they can play with alot of teams in the league and obviously the Eagles are one of them.

Kansas City Chiefs (1-5) (LW-27) We said last week that we liked how the team was playing in recent weeks, and they finally got their fist win against the sinking Redskins. Now they catch the Chargers at home after they had a big MNF loss to the Broncos.

Washington Redskins (1-5) (LW-24) The Skins once again showed us that the organization is in turmoil this week after losing at home to the winless Chiefs then letting Sherm Lewis call plays over the guy they hired to originally run the offense. (Shaking our heads)

Cleveland Browns (1-5) (LW-25) Losing at Pittsburgh last week was a tough game to have coming off their 1st win, but now while half the team has the flu they get to host the Packers, good luck.

Detroit Lions (1-5) (LW-26) Well last week we told you that the Lions seemed to be satisfied with their 1 win, and after not even showing up against the Packers, we now fully believe that.

St. Louis Rams (0-6) (LW-31) The Rams were finally able to move out of the 31st spot in our rankings, but not due to a win. Its just the fact that when a winless team in front of you losses by 59pts they are sure to drop below you.

Tennessee Titans (0-6) (LW-29) Once again we are going to bring up 59-0, the only reason that we keep the Bucs in the final spot is because not only are they winless, but we think they will remain winless for the rest of the season.

Tampa Bay Bucs (0-6) (LW-32) See above.

These are my rankings of all 32 NFL teams. I appreciate any imput so go ahead and leave a comment.

1. Indiapolis Colts - If there schedule couldn't get any easier, think again.. Take the Colts every week in the NFL Spreads. Manning is the best quarterback there is.

2. New England Patriots - Dont get me wrong, they played against a horrific Tennesee Titans team, but just wait and see, I have a feeling the Colts and Pats will meet in the AFC Championship.

3. Denver Broncos - They are playing like the most ballanced team in football. Definatly not the most sexy pick, but the Broncos are 6-0, and a win is a win and a loss is a loss. I just dont see them beating the Patriots again, thus they are lower.

4. New Orleans Saints - The Saints proved me wrong and just flat out embarresed the New York football Giants last Sunday, if they can slaughter them like that what other NFC team stands in there way?

5. Minnesota Vikings - Right now everything is clicking for the Vikings. Perhaps the most talented football team in the NFL, I mean its almost like a dream team. A future HOF under snap, the best running back in the league, and not to mention Jared Allen.. All is good right now, but the Vikings better stay on there heels, remember how Favre and the Jets started last year?

6. New York Giants - The Giants suffered an embarresing road loss last week, but look for them to regroup and blowout the 'Fins next week. If the secondary for the G'MEN can tighten up they should be just fine.

7. Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers seemed to find there stride last Sunday, look for there team to keep improving and look like the Super Bowl champs they were a year ago.

8. Baltimore Ravens - The Ravens have lost 3 games in a row by a combined 11 points. After this bye week Ray Lewis and the hungry Ravens will get back on track and pull off an upset against the undefeated Broncos. The Ravens could have easily won there last 3 games.

9. Atlanta Falcons - Matt Ryan looked sharp in Sunday Nights win over the Bears, the Falcons and there ballanced offense will continue to put up points.

10. Green Bay Packers - They shut out the Lions as there Defensive Line got to Cullpepper all game. But the Packers have alot to fix, including there offensive line woe's giving up another 5 sacks on Sunday, as well as the pass defence.

11. Chicago Bears - Cutler got going especially late in the game on Sunday, but couldn't get the job done. They will contend in the Black and Blue division this year 'till the last second.

12. Philidelphia Eagles - If you lose against the Raiders, something isn't going the way it should. The game was so Mcnabb, he is a hit or miss. With the media all over him he will have a huge game next Sunday.

13. Cinncinati Bengals - The Bengals are set on the offensive side, but had a poor outing to say the least last Sunday against the Texans.

14. San Diego Chargers - Yes, they can still come back and win the division, but unlikey unless the defence steps up. Rivers' offensive line didn't buy him any time in the Monday Night loss to the undefeated Bronco's.

15. Houston Texans - The Texans and Matt Shuab's offense are looking better and better each week, who can stop them?

16. SanFran 49'ers - The 49'ers have arguably the best defence in the NFL, but there total offence needs a lift, maybe the rookie from Texas Tech can make sparks fly in his debut.

17. Miami Dolphins - Probably the only team in the NFL that can run the Wildcat successfully.

18. Arizona Cardinals - Kurt Warner was clicking on all cylinders in there big win. Maybe the Super Bowl team can turn the pipes.

19. Dallas Cowboys - Every week i would NOT take the Cowboys on the points spread because the definition of the Cowboys is inconsistency. Dont get me wrong though, they have the talent to go far.

20. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaguars = worst defence

21. New York Jets - Sanchez played like well, a rookie. The Jets finally come back to Earth as they need to go back to the drawing board after a sluggish dissapointing loss to the Bills.

22. Carolina Panthers - Hey Jake Delhomme, PASS THE BALL TO STEVE SMITH!!, somehow they need to maneouver him to get him open.

23. Buffalo Bills - Why can't the Bills play like they did against the Pats? The Bills are just apart of another collapse with T.O in the makings.

24. Seattle Seahawks - They need to use this bye week to their advantage, after getting blown out in a rare home loss.

25. Kansas City Chiefs - With there first win last week, there is hope for KC, well atleast a little.. It will be interesting to see if LJ produces again this week.

26. Oakland Raiders - The Raiders are 2-4! and they beat the Eagles, yeah thats right, the Eagles.

27. Detroit Lions - Stafford needs to come back next week and produce alot, or this Lions team is going to face alot more losses, remind you of something?

28. Washington Redskins - It's not that the Redskins are bad, its just there is no effort. Jim Zorn will be outta town within a few weeks unless something drastic happens.

29. Cleveland Browns - The QB situation is still not to a conclusion *yawn*, and they traded there best reciever.. Not a wise choice.

30. Tennesee Titans - Not in a million years can a team coached by Jeff Fisher be the worst team in the NFL, but after that loss they are playing awfully close to it. I think the Titans may rebound, but not enough, too little too late.

31. Tampa Bay Buc's - I like how Jon Gruden is now a commenter for MNF, actually i don't, he may be the most annoying guy to listen to yet to call a game. Too bad the Bucs don't have him now, because they surely need help.

32. St. Louis Rams - Yes, the Rams are the worst team in the NFL. When you celebrate in the endzone after scoring a touchdown when you are getting crushed by the Vikings, I think you deserve to be injured.

1. New Oreleans Saints (5-0). LW: 2 - The Saints move up top with a win over the Giants. Drew Brees proved he can play against a good defense. The defense stopped Eli Manning and they have proved they can also ste up. Marques Colston could be an elite WR and Jeremy Shockey is having his best year as a Saint. Darren Sharper is a great safety and has played well this year.

2. Indianapolis Colts (5-0), LW: 1 , Indi drops one due to a bye week but I think this team has proven they are going to have a great year. Garcon and Collie have replaced Gonzalez well and the defense has done great.

3. Minnesota Vikings. (6-0) LW: 4, Minnesota defeated Baltimore who just keeps playing very good teams. The defense did not play very well against Joe Flacco and his premier offense. Brett Favre and Sidney Rice keep connecting deep down the field. Although the Ravens almost one the Viknigs just keep finding a way to win.

4. Denver Broncos (6-0) LW:3. Kyle Orton is a stud, case and point. Although Minnesota jumped them, Denver is still a top five team that could beat anyone. Brandon Marshall and Josh McDaniels are "buddies" now and the defense has played VERY well in the second half.. Scheffler (TE) had a huge day last night against San Diego and Eddie Royal is a great Special Teams athlete.

5. New York Giants (5-1) LW: 5. Eli Manning played a stellar game agianst the Saints but they came into the Super Dome against a team that was ready and prepared for them. The defense tried thier best but lost in the end. The Giants can still beat any team but the Saints were ready for them coming off their bye.

6. New England Patriots (4-2) LW: 8 Yes, some could say the Titans have a terrible defense but I also think Tom Brady and Randy Moss are getting back to thier scoring ways. The defense played very very well against Kerry Collins but the rush defense needs improvement. Laurence Maroney played well and I think the 07 Pats are back.

7. Atlanta Falcons (4-1) LW: 9 Atlanta has played well, and they did beat the Bears, Sunday Night. Tony Gonzalez seems to fit this team very well and did beat the Bears LB's. Michael Turner had a not to great game against Chicago but he still got in the end zone.

8. Chicago Bears (3-2) LW: 12 DA BEARS have played great offensivley but without Brian Urlacher, I dont know if they can handle big threat TE's. Jay Cutler is the Franchise QB they are looking for but he needs some Wideouts to help him out.

9. Cincinatti Bengals (4-2) LW: 6 Yeah they lost to the Texans, but Houston is improving. The defense of the Bengals needs to step up a little bit to help Carson Palmer and Chad Ochocinco win games

10. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) LW: 13 Ben Roethlisberger is a great QB, thats all. Willie Parker has been out but Rashard Mendenhall has picked up his game and has helped greatly. Now with Pomalalu back the pass defense should play extremely better.

11. Baltimore Ravens (3-3) LW:11

12. Green Bay Packers (3-2) LW:15

13. Philidelphia Eagles (3-2) LW: 10

14. New York Jets (3-3) LW: 7

15. Arizona Cardinals (3-2) LW: 16

16. Dallas Cowboys: (3-2) LW:18

17. San Diego Chargers (2-3) LW: 17

18. Miami Dolphins (2-3) LW: 19

19. Houston Texans (3-3) LW: 20

20. San Franciso 49ers (3-2) LW: 14

21. Seattle Seahawks: (2-4) LW: 21

22. Jacksonville Jaguars: (3-3) LW: 22

23. Carolina Panthers: (2-3) LW: 24

24. Buffalo Bills (2-4) LW: 26

25.Oakland Raiders (2-4) LW: 32

26. Detroit Lions (1-5) LW: 25

27. Kansas City Cheifs (1-5) LW: 29

28. Cleveland Browns: (1-5) LW: 28

29. Tennessee Titans (0-6) LW: 23

30: Washington Redskins (2-4) LW: 27

31. St. Louis Rams: (0-6) LW:31

32. Tampa Bay Bucs (0-6) LW: 30

We're now at the 1/3 mark of the season and it appears that the NFL needs a collective subconscious for a number of reasons. Coaches, players, and even some fans are displaying strong signs of delusions and poor judgment. Please see the following examples;

#1. Jim Zorn; You go from a winning season to a break even season to... well whatever it is you have now in Washington. Most people would have voluntarily stepped down, and not had to have their boss tell them that someone else was going to do their job. This is actually a two parter in that if your boss does have to tell you that someone else will be doing your job, most people would have to common sense to pack up their belongings and then make sure the boss knows they are ready to go; not wait for the axe to fall.

#2. Jeff Fisher; It is inconceivable to me that you can go from 13-3 to 0-6 in just 10 months with almost the exact same team. Yes, the Titans lost Haynesworth and have injuries on defense, but they don't even have an offense. On top of that, YOU'RE JEFF friggin FISHER! 6 winning seasons in the last 10 years. You took a washed up Kerry Collins and made him a playoff caliber Q.B. Doing the same thing over and over isn't working. Either come up with a new (and good) game plan or go ahead and step down now.

#3. New York Jets fans; You booed Mark Sanchez? Yeah he threw 5 interceptions, but he also is 22 years old and should still be in college right now. Try boo-ing your ownership and GM for trading away your talent for a QB they knew didn't want to play for them and then not having a plan for 2009. Sanchez wasn't expected to be a superstar right away, and had helped the team to a 3-0 start. Not bad for a kid new to the NFL, good job kicking a guy while he's down Jets fans.

#4. Oakland Raiders; Yes, I'm aware that the Raiders won in Philly, but I'm not going to let Al or J.R. off the hook that easy. These guys have been cashing in self-respect paychecks well beyond the expiration date. They will use this win to support their belief that they can turn things around without actually making any changes. A classic example of two people who not only see the world through rose colored glasses, but actually demand that anyone talking to them, or anyone near them wear the same glasses.

Also without ranking I will just note; All the talking heads who warned that the Vikings were wasting money signing an aging Farve and all the talking heads and Bronco fans that were waiting outside the stadiums to string up McDaniels after the first loss, man they've seemed to disappear and haven't stepped up to say "I was wrong". Mr. Glazer of Tampa Bay for firing the GM and Gruden after they dropped the last 4 games of the season; are you going to fire yourself now that you're team is 0-6? (Actually, I should thank you as Gruden has to be one of the best Monday night commentators EVER!)

What an awful week for me in sports. And then I realized, I’ll be in Mexico! So it doesn’t really matter! But the Green Bay Packers are on a bye after the most disappointing result in team history. Not to say we didn’t play well; we played great. But to beat Favre would have been legendary... Manchester United is also on a ‘bye’. Internationals this week. So nothing to watch there either. The Minnesota Twins are likely going to be destroyed by the Yankees, and I’ll get to see just how terrible the Minnesota Timberwolves are. But I won’t. Cause I’ll be in Mexico!

Goal! – Brett Favre. Even though I’m a hater right now, I can’t hate. I thought the Packers game plan for the week was exquisite; we shut down Adrian Peterson, ran a nice amount of screens and slants, and forced Favre to beat us with his arm. Problem was... he did! Never in all my life did I ever see him throw 80%. It was the darndest thing. I understand rushing only three to force him to throw, but when you give him half an hour, he’ll use it. Three weeks until Lambeau and you gotta think, maybe a few more blitzes. But well done Favre. Mr. Allen. Mr. Rice.

Substitution – Michael Crabtree. We finally get to see what the kid has to offer. Funny how a 3-1 football team changes things. Still want to be the 7th pick in the draft, Michael? However, I will really think it’s funny when they end up 6-10. Chemistry counts for a lot in football, but at least we get to see a change. For Singletary’s sake, let’s hope it’s a good one.

Yellow Card – Eric Mangini. He better hope he has a job by the time they draft those players he received in the Braylon Edwards deal. Unless... he just wants the #1 pick. Ah! Eric, save the poor son of a #### from going to the Oakland Raiders! So, this is my warning for you. Win fewer games than Oakland, and convince us you’re a good coach by striking gold on next year’s #1 pick.

Standing Ovation - Richard Dunne. I don't like you. But your performance, goal, and celebration against the blue side were class.

Great Partnership – Darren Bent & Kenwyne Jones. I like this tandem. They are very dangerous, and not afraid of any back four. Did you see the shot Bent put past United over the past weekend? Top form, that. My prediction of Sunderland for 13th looks a little bit soft, and expect these two to push them further into the mid-table. Perhaps 10th for Bruce?

Half-time – The baseball playoffs. Yes, I will take a little break to discuss them. If it wasn’t for Nick Adenhart’s unexpected accident, I don’t know if I would even care. But I would love for the Angels to win it this year (I know, right?), and it would be nice to see Torre get in there for the Dodgers. Too bad L.A. cares about as much as I do. Also a quick congratulations to the Minnesota Twins. How the hell they won the division with that pitching rotation and the injury to Justin Morneau is beyond me, but if any of you are disappointed with this season for one second, you need to get slapped. This was amazing.

Goal! – Stevan Jovetic. Finally! A target that I can agree with. I liked him last year for Fiorentina, and now the world knows. Plays similar to a Paul Scholes with flair. Or Francesco Totti with less. I’ve never seen him tackle yet though. I hope we can get him before the price spikes to 30. Maybe a double swoop for this guy and Kuzmanovic from Stuttgart. Also class.

Stoppage Time – American sports in Europe is a great idea, and I encourage our European counterparts to do the same. (The Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz met for a preseason game in England this past week.) I think it’s kind of #### that teams have to sacrifice a home game to do so, but anyway for the league to make more money is a sufficient enough reason. Why don’t the European nations play their cup-ties overseas while we play our all-star games and other extravaganzas on the other side? Although if they put the Super Bowl in London in 2012, there will be riots. But maybe the pro bowl?... For perhaps the first time in 8 years, I have been thoroughly wrong about something that I believe in. I used to believe that the Beatles and Wu-Tang were the two most talented musical bands this world as ever seen. I am wrong. Pink Floyd might take the cake. Over the past 6 months, I have purchased, “Division Bell”, “The Wall”, “Dark Side of the Moon”, “Meddle”, and “Wish you Were Here.” Where the hell have I been?! Magical stuff. ;) I recommend all of it, and I hope to continue my collection... Goodbye to all of you. I will miss you deeply, and will think about you all the time during our vacation. Ha! I know! Complete #### ! We’re going to romp until the early hours of the morning, and I won’t even consider Minnesota, Pennsylvania, internet, cell phones, and fantasy teams until I get back! Sports on the other hand...

The Buzz is back for a 2nd week, and today many upsets happened. I will break down a few matchups and some top performers.

Pats back in 2007 form? Or are the Titans Secondary just that bad?

The Tennessee Titans either don’t like the cold snow or their secondary is so inexperienced that they gave up 5 TD’s in one quarter. After the 1st Qtr I thought maybe the Titans could stay in this, but then Brady connected to Moss on a 40 yd TD and many people knew this was it. Again Brady hit Moss and it seemed as if the Pats were back in the 07, 16-0 form. Brady connected on 2 TD to Welker and then one to Faulk to cap off a great half. At the end of the first it was 45-0. Kerry Collins finally got benched after his 1st half performance was dreadful. 2-12 for -7 YARDS. Vinnie Young savior of the 2006 BCS Championship came in the game and immediately threw an INT. Brian Hoyer made his NFL Debut and went 9-11 with 52 yards. Maroney had 16 carries with 123 yards while Green Ellis had 6 carries with 67 yards, but a big injury came to Sammy Morris with a leg injury. Chris Johnson and Javon Ringer combined for 175 yards and that was all the offense they got. The Titans looked terrible in the snow and this inexperienced defense showed today. The Pats are back and should make the playoffs while Tennessee has a bye week, which they desperately need .

Eagles cant lift off ground against Oakland Raiders

Surprisingly there was no Vick cheers from Eagles fans at Oakland Coliseum today. The Iggles were defeated 13-9 by a Raiders team led by JaMarcus Russell who usually cant complete a pass. But today he had 224 yards with a TD. He did have two picks but overall he played well today at home. Darren McFadden was out today but Justin Fargas had an amazing day on the ground. He had 87 yards which helped them. Zach Miller may be a premier Tight End he had 6 catches for 139 yards and a TD. Now to the Eagles side of the ball. The offensive line gave up 6 sacks and could not open up any holes for Westbrook or McCoy, who combined had 33 yards. If the line could play better the Eagles should win their 4th game against Washington who lost to KC today. The Raiders proved themselves today especially on defense, and on offense as well. If Russell, Fargas, and Miller can keep it up, this team might do well.

Mark Sanchez not the franchise QB?

The former USC QB threw 4 INTS in regulation and 1 in OT which almost cost them the game. If he had not had all those turnovers the Jets would of won this game, Thomas Jones had 210 yards of rushing. Although he threw some that got tipped then picked he forced many throws. Braylon Edwards had 3 catches for 40 yards, in his 2nd game as a Jet. Leon Washington almost got 100 yards along with Thomas Jones. Trent Edwards started great for the Bills until he was injured and may have a concussion. The Bills did win 16-13 in OT large in part to Sanchez’ mistakes. Marshawn Lynch had 61 yards along with Fred Jackson’s 52 to help lead the Bills. Ryan Fitzpatrick played ok, but he did throw a pick. Overall the Jets should of won this in regualation.

Saints defense stops Manning to advance to 5-0

Who dat, Who dat, Who dat gonna beat those Saints? Not the Giants, whose defense got burned by Drew Brees who threw 4 TD and 369 yards to lead the Saints to an undeafeated record. The Giants rushing gain was held to a season low 84 yards and Eli Manning was forced into a pick by Jabari Greer. Marques Colston got past the CB’s and Safeties of the Giants to have 8 catches for 166 yards. The Saints seem to be really well, but the Giants came into a team that was coming off a bye week prepared for them, so don’t count the Giants out of the Home field advantage for the NFC.

Missed FG, leads Vikings to 6-0

Defense? Hello? There was none to be seen today as both the QB’s for the Ravens and Vikes torched the secondary. Joe Flacco had 385 yards and 2 TD, but Favre threw 3 TD. Ray Rice and Sidney Rice (don’t ask if they are related) had huge days. Ray had 77 yards rushing, 10 catches for 117 yards and 2 TD. While Sidney Rice had 6 catches for 176 yards. Shiancoe a big threat in the red zone for the Vikes caught both the TD’s from Favre. Everyone expected Adrian Peterson to be stopped but he had 143 yards on the ground. Late in the 4th, the Vikes were down 30-31 , and were around the 28 yard line and they ran it 3 times with 1:45 left. Brad Childress could of went for a TD and 4 pt lead but they only put up 3 pts. It almost cost them but Haushka missed the FG that could of won it for the Ravens.

It was an upset day for many. The Chiefs got their first win of the season after beating Washington 14-6. St. Louis and TB came close to doing the same but were beat in the end of the games. Green Bay and Pittsburgh easily won their games and the Browns and Lions look bad. Tonights game features the Falcons and Bears two great teams. Enjoy the battle of two young stars in Cutler and Ryan.
