VZus....what in the heck happened to your Patriots last night????? I was not expecting that at all. What should us Linganore fans be expecting from Perry Hall Friday night?

Playoff Prediction Time
The MVAL Chesapeake has 5 out of 6 teams in the playoffs! Prior to the 2008 season getting underway, many talked about how stacked the division was and it did indeed play out that way. The MVAL Chesapeake is the top rated conference in the state (public and private)! Is this the year we could see 2 teams from the division win a state championship???

4A North
(4) Westminster @ (1) Linganore
In their regular season meeting, Linganore ran off 58 straight points after falling behind 7-0. While I don't see this one being as big of a blowout (due to the weather conditions), it will still be an ugly one. Wesminster comes into the game losing 4 of their last 5 games. Pat Balderson & Zach Zwinak run wild on the Owls...HOOT HOOT! Linganore rolls 40-6.

4A North
(3) Thomas Johnson @ (2) Perry Hall
It's a rematch of last year's regional final which TJ won 35-7. Perry Hall does not have the speed or skill to keep up with TJ. Therefore, I expect this year's game to be very similar. Perry Hall's defenders will receive a heavy dosage of Nick Forbes and DJ Scott. Pats run away with this one 46-21.

3A West
(3) Urbana @ (2) Tuscarora
Urbana stumbled a bit down the stretch losing 2 of their last 3, including a 23-20 loss to Tuscarora. Tuscarora enters the playoffs on a 3 game win streak. Urbana's strong regular season schedule helps big time. The Hawks are looking to avenge their earlier loss to Tuscarora and should be ultra hungry after dropping a close one to Linganore last week. I'm taking Urbana based on their playoff experience and schedule.....Hawks 24-17

Has anyone seen the proposed divisions for the MVAL for the next 2 years ? I personally don't like it. Westminster gets hurt big time because they have to play all the 2A teams (it means they lose "base" points for having to face them football wise.

Anyone have an opinion about the proposed changes in the 3A west regional bracket? The new 3A west proposal by the MPSSAA adds current 4A powerhouse Quince Orchard, current 2A powerhouse Clarksburg, and current 4A powerhouse Linganore in the 3A west for next year. Urbana gets moved up to 4A, but the 3A west also includes powerhouse Seneca Valley, perennial playoff and state champion from 2007 Damascus along with Tuscarora.

Week 10 Chesapeake
South Carroll 7
Tuscarora 41North Carroll 14
Westminster 30Frederick 15
TJ 42Linganore at Urbana. This is a very tough one to pick. Linganore has looked unbeatable except for the first half against TJ. I promised myself I'd never go against Urbana in a big game (then the Hawks went and lost to Tuscarora the very next week). My gut tells me Lancers win by 2 TDs, but Urbana's big game experience should help. I'm gonna say Urbana 17-14! UPSET OF THE WEEK!

I know what people say abt River Hill and how good they are. I was just wondering if anyone here has seen them play and what they think?
