My personal, most memorable sports
moment is scoring my 1000 point in
college. The best sports moment I
ever wittnessed was watching the
Moose come within one out of a
perfect game. As a Yankee fan, my
heart stopped watching Carl Everett
poke one through, as a baseball
fan, I had never been more
impressed with a single man's
performance in my
life.
I am a diehard Yankees Fan who has
made it through 23 years on this
earth in New England surrounded by
the worst fans in the world. I am a
baseball fan first who respects
greatness but I think the 04 series
was a fluke and last years league
championship series was a few
bounces from going the Indian's
way.
I respect DJ 'the captain' more
than any other athlete I have ever
seen. He is grace under pressure
and a true asset to the game. "The
closer", MR is right behind him
in that
sense.
Watching the Giants beat the
Patriot's this year was one of the
happiest moments of my life.
Watching those cocky boys from New
England walk off the field with
their heads down gave me pure joy.
Besides baseball, I love watching
and playing basketball. While the
NBA is something that I can't watch
a lot of for the lack of defense
and the lack of heart, I absolutely
love watching NCAA men's and
women's bball. I used to be able to
go to Celtics games for 5 bucks
because no one cared about them and
now all of a sudden the banwagon is
full and people actualy care about
them. It makes me
sick.
Rick Reily is my favorite sports
writer and SI isn't the same
without
him.
I will miss Torre in NY but he had
all the talent in the world and
couldn't win a championship for 8
long years. (in NY thats almost
like
86:)
The last year of The House that
Ruth Built will be sad but it will
close it with a
ring.
Thanks for the add and can't wait for college football to start.
