Flying by!!!
October, 04 2009 14:24:00 | Back to Blog Posts | RSS » |Wow! Who else can hardly believe with this passing weekend were saying good bye to week#5 in college football? I guess what momma said really rings true" Time flys when your having fun" And it seems with each passing year things seem to go by even faster!
Maybe its because we've been waiting since last January to see our favorite teams take the field, or maybe your the fan of a team who's really poised to go all the way, or your team has picked up a new coaching with promises of being more in contention for a division or national championship. The truth is we've all been spoiled with todays super fast world of "now" technology! With the internet, cell phone and cell phones with internet we blog, surf, twitter, facebook and myspace with simply tons of unlimited info on our favorite teams and players. Fact is theres times when we know whats "this or that" before the players or sometimes coaches before they do! We've been spoiled, I've been spoiled and to be honest I dream of maybe one day having a 10-11 month schedule! Of course we do need that month or two for recruiting! If there were a poll released today I couldnt help but believe it would be heavily tilted in favor of extending the seasons, I mean what devout fan doesn't get that sad, just lost my best friend feeling in the pit of there stomach to see those last few seconds tick off the clock on that final seasons end game? Its like what do I do now? Then the wait is on. We jump head over hills into recruiting and start making our game schedule calendar for next year with the anticipation of competing for all the jewels next year!
So enjoy every game you can, take in all the sights, the sounds and pageantry that makes college football so special because in a few short weeks we'll have that awful feeling of loosing our best friend all over again!!!!!
