I got Lesnar beating Mir, GSP should beat Alves, unless he gets caught early or is unable to take him down. I really want Hendo to beat the crap out of Bisping but at his age one never knows what to expect. Can't wait for this one

but beating lytle, parisyan, hughes, and koscheck consecutively, i think qualifies as being "on fire". buti do agree that hughes is past his best days and the only studs kos has beaten are lytle and sanchez. then kos' next scheduled fight is against friggin frank trigg? seriously? talk about someone that is truly washed up. so, while i do think kos is a pretty good fighter, i can understand the viewpoint on him being overrated.
most mui thail fighters i know use bjj so im sure alvez will be fine lol he wont have to worry about getting taped he going to have to worry about gsp being the freak of a wrestler he is hes so good and never wrestled in high school or collge. Alvez is stronger then gsp so maybe he can stop some take downs if not he will spend the whole fight on his back gsp is no dumb #### hes not going to trade shot for shot. i dont know if i would say alvez is on fire though i mean he beat a over rated josh koscheck and a washed up matt hughes but hes still a game fighter
Alvez is different animal then GSP is use to facing no doubt about it. If you look at it I believe this is the first person GSP has fought in the UFC that is actually younger then him. Also he is one of the few that is probably stronger then him or you would think atleast as strong. Alvez is one of the very few Brazilians that comes from a Mui Thai background rather then a BJJ background so GSP should have the advantage on the ground.
I want Rush to win, too, but Thaigo's a bad mother#%#@! I wouldn't be suprised if he pulled off the "W". It really wouldn't be an upset, either, since he's been on fire lately. But yeah, I'll be rooting for GSP. Wouldn't be very smart to do otherwise, considering Betty Boop over here would prob'ly walk all the way down from BC to beat my a$s. HAHAHA Should be the Fight of the Night tho, IMO. Any other card it would be the main event for sure..
i KNOW!!! shocking stuff!! ;D seriously though, alves will provide a huge test, but i am pretty sure GSP's still pretty pissed at the Penn grease allegations and will come out with a chip on his shoulder and ready to war, lol..too bad it wasn't Penn in there! ;)
woooo, 10 days till 100!! :D i think the gsp/alves fight will be close, but that gsp will prevail in the end.(surprised?) cmonnnn MIR!!! pleeeease!! haha.
The likelihood of them standing and banging isn't very high, tho'. I mean, yeah they're both gonna say the right things and declare this and that, but when the bells sounds they're gonna go their bread and butter. Both of which happens to be the ground game.. I perosnally thnk it'll play out exactly the same way. Mir on his back, Brock on top. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing for Frank considering how the first fight ended..
I think people are going to be surprised by Mir's standup. People keep talking about how Brock has improved but Mir is steadily improving as well. He seems to be the best condition of his life right now, he is lifting weights and looks pretty fit right now. I don't think this fight plays out anything like the first one. I think Mir will surprise some people(mainly the people jumping on Brocks bandwagon)
Can't wait for 100! The Brock-Mir fight's gonna be huge, no doubt. But the GSP-Thiago fight could very well steal the show IMO!! Both are highly skilled, very explosive fighters that can finish in all kinds of different ways, whereas the heavyweight championship will most likely be determined on the mat. I'm thinking Brock's just gonna ground and pound Mir till he's unconcious..
