Just some thoughts and awards on the year 2008 in sports. Bests ------------------------------------------ Coach of the year-+*Tom Coughlin*.+ sure you could make arguments for others. But when it came down to when the games counted at the end of the year no team was more motivated than Coughlin's Giants. Headed into the homestretch, it wasnt even looking too good for them. With probowl Tight End Jeremy Shockey out for the year, things got a lot worse. But yet something changed for this team on the night, one year and one day ago on that saturday night in the meadowlands. Although the Giants lost in a nailbighter to New England, failing to put their perfection to a halt. They showed that they belonged. And ive never seen a more motivated team going into the playoffs than the 07/08 Giants. The most underated attribute of a coach is motivation, and Coughlin brought the Giants to NFL supremecy. Pro Athlete of the year-+*Kobe Bryant+* Transformed a lakers team. Giving them new attitude. And showed that yes, he CAN be a team player.
