• maawdawg (08/ 1/2008/09:11:37 ago) Yeah, it definitely bugs me when people laugh at the stuff he did. Every single one of those things is him not acting like a professional and people just kept giving him more and more reason to do that by cheering it. That said, it is LA and Joe Torre's problem now. I am more than glad, good riddance. After playing as many team sports as I did and being taught to play everything as hard as you can, quitting on your team is something that is unforgivable to me.

I would rather watch someone put up .280/25/80 and work their butt off on the field than see .310/30/110 out of someone who is obviously dogging it. I much prefer players to play the game like I would, like it is supposed to be played rather than playing it like the world owes them something.

I totally agree that most logical people want to see him gone, but there are a vocal minority that think otherwise, as is evident in my comments section. Have a good one, and here is hoping that someone else is patrolling the monster soon.

Manny leaving actually should help your guys. he is a cancer.. good hitter.. but his REAL fielding will show up when he has to play a real left field.. Hope we can do something with the Halos.. they are now loaded..

• Rowdy1946 (07/27/2008/09:41:57 ago) as musch as I like the offensive numbers than Manny is capable of, he is a major distraction that can no longer be ignored by the Sox organization. He thinks he is larger than the game. So a trade actually is a good thing for the Sox and should help in the clubhouse. The Yankee trade is a great one, unlike MANY that they have made in the past. They get great talent and lose basically nothing to the Bucs in return. Do not give up on your Sox too soon. Sox/Yanks come October..
