I still think that Potts is a better quarterback than Sheffield, but for some reason, the team doesn't play well for him since his injury. I'm not sure what happened, but it seems obvious that something happened behind closed doors that has really thrown off team chemistry. Especially after the Texas game, the offense was pumped to play for Taylor Potts. They thought he was great and on his way to leading them to greatness, but all of the sudden after his injury they were making statements to the media that they wanted to play for Sheffield, and they make it very obvious by their performance when Potts is on the field. They just hang him out to dry and set him up to fail. The stadium then fills with boo birds who don't know enough about football to see that the receivers aren't trying to get open and the o line isn't holding up any protection. I wish I knew what caused this rift, because it just baffles me. The Royal/Osborne plan would probably work, especially if they set it up as a 5-2-1 deal where you played everyone in your division, a rotating two teams from the other division and one cross divisional game played every year. The way the Big 10 works is they have five teams they play every year and the rest rotate. Since they don't have divisions (or an even number of teams) that's the only way they could do things.
