<body>&lt;p&gt;The media is looking for any reason to get a negative story on the Florida Gators. Yes Brandon Spikes tried to gouge a player on the opposing team. That has been well publized. What hasn't is the fact that he had his helmet ripped off on the first play of the game from scrimmage. Then later to be poked in the eye himself before he retalliated. He got caught and probably deserved a full game suspension, but that doesn't ruin his image on or off the field. This is something that happens in every game. Just ask any of the old players and they will tell you that the last place you want to be is on the bottom of the pile on the field. Bad things happen down there man, Bad things. So please Stop trying to find every little thing to tarnish what the Gators are trying to do and stand for. The difference between today and the past is that there are more camera's and there is not much that they dont see. So if someone who has played the game like Mike Golic and says that this shouldn't happen. He needs to look back on his career and ask himself if that had happened to him what would he have done. How many times when he was on the top did he throw punches, poke, or kick down there? I would venture to say that it happened a time or two. So people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones just to get ratings.&lt;/p&gt;</body>
