<body>When a player is listed as being like an 8 or 9 time Pro Bowl selection or whatever does that count the number of times they were selected because the first one or two or even three selections ahead of them had injuries or didn't want to go for some reason?

Because if a player is selected and then doesn't go I am pretty sure it still counts as a Pro Bowl selection and if that is the case you end up with for example like 10 Pro Bowl quarterbacks each year when you combine the two conferences.

I have just always wondered about that. If that is true it really dilutes the honor of being a Pro Bowl pick.
