I go to La Salle University now. I'm a 3rd year sophomore because I transfered in from a two-year school, Manor College in local Jenkintown. There I played basketball for two years against the surrounding community colleges. I got so much out of playing basketball for Manor it helped me change for the better. I made life-long friends and finally became my own person. Though we came up short both years I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. We didn't care if our tammate was black or hispanic, Jewish or Catholic, rich or poor. It didn't matter. All we knew was to play ball and have fun. The world could have gone to hell at that point. In 1999, hurricane Floyd produced what was called the flood of the century. The football team was on the road at the time,and couldn't return home for a game with Miami(FL) because of the water. NC State was kind enough to let us use their stadium, and it was very moving to see the whole town cheer when the team came on the field to warm up.
