12735 My 50th birthday was this past Sunday, August 31st! That's right fifty, 5-0, FAB@50*!! it's really hard to believe that I've been on the Earth for that dang long! (those of you who are looking at my picture and reading these words may be having a hard time fathoming that I'm that old - but it's TRUE. I've got no logical explanation for my "youthful" appearance (BLOGNOTE: I DO eat a piece of chocolate every day and I love to workout!) We had a nice family day, no BIG party or anything because I don't really enjoy that stuff at all. My wife DID create a really cool, virtual, eco-friendly, BIG surprise party via the web and invited 100s of my friends and family members to share a thought, a pic and their congrats to me - that was an amazing idea, really clever, creative and extremely thoughtful of her! I have been really thinking a lot about this B-day and as the date drew closer, the enormity of that number 5-0 made me take pause and reflect a lot about what I've experienced, OVERcame, and BEcame in 50 years. So, I decided to put together 100 short thoughts and memories about my really FULL life to personally gain a bit of perspectivce about the life I've led and some of the significant things that have occured in it up 'til now.
