<p class="MsoNormal">With the recent announcement of true freshmen Matt Barkley as starting QB for the Trojans, critics are piling on head coach Pete Carroll. Here’s what I have to say about that; when I heard the news I first thought hmm, but it took me about 10 seconds to get over it. I mean, what has he done to not get the benefit of the doubt? Has the 2 National Championships suddenly made him dumb? Or is it the 3 Heisman Trophy winners he’s coached? Every move that Carroll has made since going to USC has worked out for him and the Trojans. <span> </span>Carroll has started a freshman at every position except QB while at USC, this is one of the biggest reasons recruits pick USC … its called competition! What do the critics see in Aaron Corp that they think he should be the starter? Is it because he is a sophmore? It can't be because he has more experience because he has not started a game either. Lets give Carroll a chance and see how it plays out, I belive he has earned that. In Carroll we trust and win forever is a must.</p>
