Back from a few days off, soooo what did I miss? Kentucky's Taylor Wyndham's hit on Florida's Tim Tebow has created quite a bit of news and views on YouTube. One element of the story, the debate on whether or not it was clean or dirty. It definitely was vicious, but it wasn't dirty. By the way, in light of Tebow's "flu-like" symptoms, do you think Gator fans are asking themselves, "We needed a less than healthy Tebow to beat Kentucky?" Also, when you have "flu-like" symptoms..it means you have the flu. CBS Sportsline's Dennis Dodd raises an interesting question on the Wyndham/Tebow collision.

On Red Alert

It's been a lean several years for the University of Houston football program. In 2001, they were winless on the field, and were irrelevent off of it. Current Baylor head coach Art Briles started the turnaround. Current coach Kevin Sumlin is close to completing it and putting the Cougars on the brink of a becoming a "BCS buster". As an alum, I love it. Saturday night's win was easily the biggest win for the program since I was in school there in the early 90's. Now, I'm just "nit-picking" here , but should you really storm the field when your ranked team beats an un-ranked team???? The Cougars were ranked 17th in the country, Texas Tech wasn't in the Top 25. Tech isn't even a rival. Just a thought. But hey, I guess it's hard to blame the students for getting excited. Houston Chronicle columnist Richard Justice explains why the win was so significant for the program.

Fashion Faux Pas

One thing that caught my eye on Sunday, actually blinded my eyes, was the Seahawks uniforms. Their alternate green gear was ridiculous. It looked like the Orlando Thunder had a rummage sale. They weren't the worst jersey's in NFL history, but the worst in XFL history.
