Thursday the NCAA stripped Memphis of 38 wins. By email, fax and news conference. 38 wins gone. A 2008 trip to the Final Four...POOF! Like it never happened. It's the second time the school has had a Final Four appearance vacated because of NCAA violations. The first time was in 1985. It's allso the second time for former Tigers head coach now current Kentucky coach John Calipari. The same thing happened at UMass on his watch. ESPN analyst Doug Gottlieb on Thursday called the Memphis/Calipari pairing a match made in heaven. More like probation hell. But yet Calipari is free of sin, at least in the eyes of the NCAA. How is he able to still coach without punishment? Heck, why not let Kelvin Sampson still coach? Maybe Jerry Tarkanian should start updating that resume. The NCAA calls it's players "student-athletes". Seems the biggest player right now is Calipari. And he just played the NCAA. Again.

IAAF Officials Off-Track?

The gender questions surrounding South African track star Caster Semenya is the strangest story of 2009. Man? Woman? Complicated tests? Why? Can't they just look and figure it out? It boggles the mind. Here's an interesting story on how this is all playing in her home of South Africa.

It's In The Game

I got a few challenges last week to play Madden10 online. Send me your gamertags through this page here on Sportscenter.com or you can follow me on twitter: @roflosc. I've found personally, that XBOX 360 is the best for online play. So sorry PS3 users. Now, before you scream an anti-PS3 bias..I also have a PS3 but don't have great luck playing online. So hit me up..and let's play.
