I don't remember much about this episode except that one of the guys running the show told me there were some funny parts. There had better be because we're telling people it's a comedy. If no one laughs we'll tell them it's a documentary meant for Frontline on PBS.

In this episode, from the little I remember, my weird boss Evan Mintz (played by Ben Schwartz) informs me that all anchors must give tours as part of the "ESPN Gives Back" program. I think that's what the program was called. I was so into my character I wasn't listening when my boss was telling me about a new ESPN mandate. Anyway, I go ahead and give a tour but as would be the case were I really giving a tour, I made a lot of things up. Also I told people it was OK to steal company equipment. We thought it would be funny if one of the tourists walked out the door with SportsCenter anchor Chris McKendry. The real bosses were worried that it might look like we were objectifying her. We ended up killing that idea but will go to our graves knowing Chris McKendry being wheeled out on a dolly is funnier than a tour recipient stealing a crane.

In the old days, before security gates and the micro-chips we carry inside our bodies, fans of ESPN could just drive into our parking lot and yell, "Look, there's Chris Berman." Those were simpler times. Now we're like a big company or something and there are tour forms to fill out. For the sake of this episode those forms are out the window. But Chris McKendry is still at her desk. Berman? Never met him.
