Too Much Too Soon?

Hooray for Michael Vick and his return to the NFL with the Eagles, but a reality show, really? According to the LA Times, Vick will star in what is being called a "docu-series" on BET. I understand the desire to create a large paper flow, but I don't know if this is such a great idea. People are getting used to Vick being back in our NFL lives and to put him in a position to say or do something questionable on a show like that, well it may not be such a good thing. Look at the mess Jon and Kate Plus 8 is these days. It's an 8-part series, slated to start airing early in 2010, right about the time the Eagles plan on chasing another NFC Championship and their first SuperBowl Title.

Sir Charles is spot on!

A few weeks ago during the WNBA's western conference finals, Charles Barkley said if you haven't seen the league in a few years, check it out because it is really great. Sir Charles, doesn't miss much and hopefully he didn't miss the Phoenix Mercury celebrating their second title in three years Friday night. More than seventeen thousand fans packed US Airways Arena and saw the finale of one of the greatest finals series in league history. Diana Taurasi was named WNBA Finals MVP, but this fan thought at the very least she should have shared the honor with her teammate Cappie Pondexter. The Indiana Fever just missed out on their first WNBA Title and have now laid the foundation for a kind of rivalry in this league like the NBA has in Lakers/Celtics. Until the next time may your favorite team give you reason to cheer!
